Car Dealership Cuts Deal With Ex-Worker In Obesity Case
A Missouri car dealership accused of firing an employee for being obese reached an agreement on Monday with the plaintiff to resolve the dispute, more than two months after a federal judge rejected the dealership's attempt to dismiss the case under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

A Missouri federal judge ruled on Thursday that a former employee of a car dealership who has accused his employer of firing him for his weight has sufficiently supported his claim that he is disabled within the meaning of the Americans with Disabilities Act, rejecting the dealership's motion to dismiss the suit.
