Feds Can't Sue Fla. Over Kids In Nursing Homes, Judge Says
The federal government doesn't have the authority to challenge Florida's institutionalization of children with disabilities in nursing facilities under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as that section limits suits to private parties, a Florida federal judge ruled Tuesday.

Too Many Disabled Fla. Children In Nursing Homes, DOJ Says
The federal government sued Florida on Monday, saying the state has nearly 200 children with disabilities unnecessarily institutionalized in nursing facilities, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
