9th Circ. Affirms Toss Of Investor Suit Over Nvidia Chips
The Ninth Circuit on Thursday upheld dismissal of a securities fraud class action alleging Nvidia Corp. hid defects in its semiconductor chip products, siding with a lower court that ruled the plaintiffs failed to show the company acted with requisite intent to mislead investors.

Nvidia Knowingly Hid Chip Defects, 9th Circ. Hears
Nvidia Corp. shareholders on Tuesday urged the Ninth Circuit to revive their putative class action accusing the chipmaker of misleading investors about product defects, arguing a lower court had wrongly found that Nvidia wasn't required to disclose the problems unless they were likely to cause serious financial repercussions.
