7th Circ. OKs Injunction On Wis. Abortion Law
The Seventh Circuit on Friday upheld an injunction blocking a Wisconsin law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, finding that abortion clinics would face greater harm if the statute went into effect than the state would if the injunction remains in place.

The state of Wisconsin on Tuesday urged the Seventh Circuit to remove an injunction blocking a law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, meeting resistance from skeptical judges who questioned whether patient safety was really the impetus behind the law.
