The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday refused to revive a putative class action seeking to bar DirecTV Inc. from using contracts with tenant subscribers to install satellite dishes without landlords' knowledge, saying a lower court rightly ruled the matter belongs in state court.

A landlord urged the Ninth Circuit on Thursday to revive a putative class action seeking to bar DirecTV Inc. from using "sham" contracts with tenant subscribers that allows the company to install satellite dishes without landlords' knowledge, arguing a lower court was wrong to find it lacked jurisdiction.
