11th Circ. Affirms Toss Of Guatemalan Workers' Torture Case
The Eleventh Circuit on Thursday ruled that a Guatemalan court's rejection of a case filed by former labor organizers claiming Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is responsible for their kidnapping and torture in 1999 is not enough to revive the case on American soil.

Del Monte Union Again Asks 11th Circ. To Hear Torture Claims
Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. said Friday that the Eleventh Circuit should uphold dismissal of seven union leaders' case claiming they were tortured in Guatemala by private security forces hired by the company, arguing that the union leaders find themselves without a forum because of their own strategy.
