Bose Corp. asked the Federal Circuit Monday for an en banc rehearing of a decision made last month largely affirming a ruling that threw out its patent infringement case against SDI Technologies Inc., saying the panel relied on a "clearly incorrect" claim construction.

The Federal Circuit on Friday ruled that a lower court acted too rashly in finding that SDI Technologies did not intentionally infringe a Bose Corp. patent for speakers designed for use with digital players, but left intact the majority of the court's decision to toss Bose's infringement claims.
