Amazon Gets Judge To Kill E-Commerce Patents Under Alice
A Washington federal judge tossed a suit accusing Amazon.com Inc. of infringing e-commerce patents held by inventor Ronald A. Katz's company Telebuyer LLC, ruling on Thursday that the patents are invalid under the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark Alice decision since they were drawn to ineligible subject matter.
