The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday rejected R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.'s arguments that a lower court erred when it denied the company's request for attorneys' fees on claims that it made a good faith settlement offer to the son of a deceased smoker who lost at trial.

R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. on Wednesday told the Eleventh Circuit that it should have been given an award of attorneys' fees under Florida law for making a good-faith settlement offer to the son of a deceased smoker who lost at trial.
