The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a petition from a Seventh Circuit decision that a 1953 treaty didn't deprive German World War II bondholders of their property without just compensation.

A Seventh Circuit panel on Thursday dismissed the attempts of German World War II bondholders to cash in the bonds, ruling that a treaty requiring the bonds to be validated did not violate the Fifth Amendment.
