CBS Interactive Inc. agreed Tuesday to settle claims it infringed patents for cataloging and organizing digital multimedia with the episodes and clips streaming on its website, according to a motion filed in Delaware federal court.

Patent holding company Preservation Technologies LLC filed a slew of lawsuits Friday against major media companies, including CBS Interactive Inc., the Fox Broadcasting Company and New York Times Digital LLC, claiming their streaming video services infringe its patents for cataloging a digital multimedia library.
