Cops Can't Revive FLSA Case Against NJ Town, 3rd Circ. Says
The Third Circuit refused Tuesday to revive a Fair Labor Standards Act lawsuit brought by Teaneck, New Jersey, police officers, finding that the township qualified for an exemption to the FLSA's overtime provisions and that the officers were precluded from seeking pay for donning and doffing time.

OT Exemption For NJ Cops Not Lawful, 3rd Circ. Told
An attorney representing a group New Jersey police officers told the Third Circuit on Tuesday that Teaneck Township was required to have affirmatively adopted a qualifying work schedule in order to rely on a Fair Labor Standards Act provision exempting law enforcement personnel from overtime requirements.
