9th Circ. Won't Revive Suit Over Black Eyed Peas Song
The Ninth Circuit refused to revive a songwriter's copyright suit alleging the Black Eyed Peas stole the hook of their hit song "I Gotta Feeling" from one of his compositions, saying the evidence doesn't support the songwriter's assertion that the hip-hop group had access to his song.

A songwriter on Friday urged the Ninth Circuit to revive his copyright suit alleging hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas stole the hook of their hit "I Gotta Feeling" from one of his compositions, saying evidence shows his song was written first.
