A New Hampshire federal judge on Thursday pared down Exeter Hospital Inc.'s attempt to hold a staffing agency accountable for a former technician's actions, which exposed dozens of patients to Hepatitis C and landed him a sentence of 39 years, saying the staffing agency can't be held liable for the technician's conduct.
