Judge Shaves Attys' Fees In Rita's Ice TCPA Settlement
A Pennsylvania federal judge on Thursday trimmed to $651,000 from $1 million the attorneys' fees awarded in a Telephone Consumer Protection Act class action suit brought against Rita's Water Ice Franchise Co. LLC, an amount the judge determined after performing an analysis of class counsel's fee request.

Class Attys Seek $1M Share Of $3M Rita's Ice Settlement
The attorneys for a group of consumers who reached a $3 million settlement in connection with allegations that Rita's Italian Ice allegedly sent them unwanted automated text messages asked a Pennsylvania federal judge on Friday to sign off on apportioning them $1 million in fees, saying it is consistent with awards in comparable cases.
