A group of Kentucky-based oil-drilling businesses and the couple that runs them urged a Florida federal judge Thursday to dump an investor's proposed class action alleging they produced falsified financial statements to further a $5 million Ponzi scheme, arguing the claims are without merit and are already being litigated in state court.
