    Private equity firm Warburg Pincus argued in California court Tuesday that it isn't liable for securities losses that Oaktree Capital Management-owned funds say resulted from overvaluation of now-bankrupt Rural/Metro, saying its managing director wasn't acting as its agent when he touted the emergency medical services company's "perfectly good liquidity position."
