Gas Cos. Seek Exit From LNG Royalty Payment Suit In Pa.
Consol Energy subsidiary CNX Gas Co. LLC and Noble Energy Inc. asked a Pennsylvania federal judge on Monday to dismiss a proposed class action accusing them of improperly deducting post-production costs from royalty payments to oil and gas leaseholders, saying the deductions were legitimate and permitted by the lease agreements.

Gas Cos. Accused of Breaching LNG Royalty Agreements
CNX Gas Co. LLC, a Consol Energy Inc. subsidiary, and Noble Energy Inc. have improperly deducted post production costs from royalty payments to oil and gas leaseholders in Pennsylvania and retroactively charged them in violation of contract arrangements, according to a class action complaint removed to federal court Tuesday.
