Insurer Escapes Coverage Of NJ School Board In Abuse Suit
An insurer doesn't have to cover a public school district over claims it covered up an ex-teacher's purported sexual misconduct there and enabled him to later allegedly abuse a student at a private school, a New Jersey federal judge ruled Tuesday, saying that claims the district knew about the alleged prior acts precluded such coverage.

A New Jersey federal judge told a school district Thursday that its Zurich American insurance policy doesn't cover it for a suit over alleged sexual abuse by an ex-teacher, even though the teacher was no longer working for them at the time in question.
