    Sanofi Hits Merck With Patent Suit Over New Diabetes Drug

    French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi-Aventis US Inc. sued Merck & Co. Inc.'s overseas unit in Delaware federal court Friday, alleging the rival pharmaceutical company developed a diabetes drug that infringes 10 patents for its top-selling Lantus insulin product and its SoloStar injection pen.
