Class Certified In Abercrombie & Fitch Securities Case

Law360, New York (May 22, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has granted a bid for class certification in consolidated securities litigation accusing clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. of concealing evidence of waning sales in summer 2005.

Judge Edmund Sargus of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio signed a 39-page opinion and order Thursday certifying a class consisting of all those who acquired publicly traded securities of Abercrombie & Fitch from June 2, 2005, to Aug. 12, 2005, and suffered damage as a result.
