Law360, New York (August 11, 2009, 4:58 PM ET) -- A judge has granted class certification to a group of consumers alleging that gas companies Georgia Energy USA LLC, United Fuel Inc., Global Energy USA LLC and others overcharged customers at Georgia gas stations by dispensing less fuel than indicated.
Issued on Monday by Judge Anthony A. Alaimo of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, the ruling certifies a class potentially numbering in the thousands of consumers that purchased gas at three stations in Camden County, Ga.
