Neurontin Plaintiffs Make Bid For Class Certification

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 5:11 PM ET) -- Plaintiffs are seeking to obtain class status in a multidistrict litigation accusing Pfizer Inc. and its Warner-Lambert Co. subsidiary of using patent litigation to postpone generic competition for epilepsy treatment Neurontin.

Louisiana Wholesale Drug Co. Inc., Meijer Inc. and Meijer’s distribution unit filed a motion with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on Friday seeking certification of a class of U.S. individuals and entities that purchased Neurontin directly from Pfizer between July 2000 and September 2009.
