Puma Moves To Decertify FLSA Suit Over Late Checks

Law360, New York (October 20, 2009, 5:33 PM ET) -- Puma North America Inc. is trying to decertify a putative collective action alleging the shoemaker violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay hundreds of employees their wages on time.

Puma filed the motion for class decertification Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, arguing there are too many factual disparities among the 392 opt-in plaintiffs and the named plaintiff for the case to move forward.
