Cincinnati Workers Lose $55M Battle Against Anthem

Law360, New York (March 04, 2010, 3:36 PM ET) -- A judge has ruled that the city of Cincinnati was entitled to about $55 million in Anthem Insurance Cos. Inc. stock after the now-embattled insurer went public in 2001, striking a blow to city employees who claimed they deserved the equity interests.

Judge Arthur Spiegel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio dismissed on Wednesday the workers' suit seeking $55 million from Anthem and the city, granting the insurer's motion for partial summary judgment.
