Law360, New York (March 24, 2010, 2:56 PM ET) -- Netflix Inc. subscribers are seeking to certify a class of millions of people who they claim paid artificially high prices for online DVD rentals as a result of a 2005 agreement between Netflix and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
The plaintiffs filed a motion for class certification Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, which is overseeing multidistrict litigation alleging the cross-promotional agreement violated antitrust law.
