Volvo Appeals Bar On Changing Retiree Benefits

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 3:19 PM ET) -- Volvo Group North America Inc. has challenged a district court’s ruling that permanently enjoined the Swedish carmaker from terminating or modifying its health benefits plan for a class of retired union workers.

Volvo on Tuesday put the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia on notice that it would appeal its final judgment to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
