Nestle, Alcon Shareholders Reach Deal In Merger Suit

Law360, New York (May 05, 2010, 12:47 PM ET) -- A judge has approved a deal between minority shareholders of Alcon Inc. and majority shareholder Nestle SA in a proposed class action over drug giant Novartis AG's plan to take over the eye care company.

Judge Victor Marrero of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday signed off on the stipulation and order of voluntary dismissal of Nestle and its five nominees to Alcon's board of directors.
