Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 2:45 PM ET) -- A federal judge has refused to throw out a putative class action against Toyota Motor Corp. brought by consumers who claim the headlights on their Prius vehicles sporadically shut off without warning.
Ruling on Toyota's motion to dismiss at a hearing Monday, Judge Manuel Real of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said the plaintiffs had stated a claim and had sufficiently pled that a safety risk existed.
