Plaintiffs Get Cockpit Audio In Plane Crash MDL

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 4:35 PM ET) -- The federal judge overseeing a multidistrict litigation against Continental Airlines Inc., Colgan Air Inc. and others over a 2009 plane crash that claimed 50 lives has granted the plaintiffs access to the aircraft's cockpit voice recording, despite opposition from Colgan.

Judge William M. Skretny of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York on Tuesday granted the plaintiffs' joint motion to compel production of audio files downloaded from Continental Connection Flight 3407's cockpit voice recorder.
