Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 3:51 PM ET) -- Toyota Motor Corp. has agreed to settle a class action brought by a group of Prius owners who claim the hybrid car's headlights abruptly shut off without warning.
The automaker will extend its warranty for eligible Prius owners to cover repairs to the headlights under the terms of the settlement, which was preliminarily approved by Judge Manuel Real of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Jan. 10.
