Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 5:50 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday dismissed with prejudice a putative class action lodged against Prudential Insurance Co. of America by policyholders who claimed the company subjected them to an unfair claims denial process for long-term disability benefits.
In March, Prudential's attorneys filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York saying the parties had agreed to final terms of a settlement in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act suit, but further details weren't immediately available.
