Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 6:38 PM ET) -- An Illinois federal judge on Monday granted Sears Roebuck & Co. and Electrolux Home Products Inc. protection against class actions alleging Sears falsely advertised Kenmore dryers.
The judge's permanent injunction prevents Sears from being dragged into cases by members of a decertified class that sued the retailer for advertising that its Kenmore dryers have stainless steel drums, despite containing ceramic-coated, so-called mild steel.
