Hospital To Pay $7.4M For Doctor’s Misdeeds

Law360, New York (May 09, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A Louisiana hospital has agreed to shell out $7.4 million to lay to rest its part in a state class action involving charges that one of its former cardiologists performed unnecessary angiograms and angioplasties on patients.

State District Judge Byron Hebert gave the green light to the $7.4 million settlement by the Lafayette, La.-based Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center this week, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.
