Netflix Claims No Evidence Exists Of Wal-Mart DVD Plot

Law360, Washington (May 12, 2011, 3:44 PM ET) -- Netflix Inc., embroiled in a California multidistrict litigation alleging antitrust violations in the online DVD rental market, said Wednesday there is no evidence showing it and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. had agreed to divvy up the market.

Plaintiffs claim that in 2005, Netflix and Wal-Mart entered into a market allocation agreement under which Netflix agreed not to sell new DVDs and Wal-Mart agreed not to compete in the business of renting DVDs online.
