Air Cargo Plaintiffs Seek €799M EU Cartel Decision

Law360, New York (June 01, 2011, 2:18 PM ET) -- Plaintiffs in the air cargo price-fixing multidistrict litigation in New York said Tuesday that Air Canada, Lan Airlines SA and other carriers should have to turn over a European Commission decision fining them millions over the same cartel.

The motion to compel Air Canada, Lan, Singapore Airlines Ltd. and Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., to turn over an unredacted copy of the European Union antitrust watchdog's November decision issuing roughly €799 million ($1.1 billion) against 11 airlines broaches a sensitive issue for the commission.
