RX-8 Owners Sue Mazda Over Stalling Defect

Law360, New York (June 14, 2011, 5:14 PM ET) -- Mazda Motor of America Inc. was hit Friday with a putative class action in California alleging the automaker knew of a defect that could cause stalling problems with its RX-8 sports car but hid it from consumers and failed to correct the defect.

In the complaint, owners and lessees of 2004 to 2008 models of the RX-8 claim that Mazda knew of a "crank no start" problem as early as April 2004 but actively concealed the defect.
