J&J Wins 1st Trial Victory In Levaquin MDL

Law360, New York (June 20, 2011, 1:04 PM ET) -- A Minnesota federal jury on Friday handed Johnson & Johnson its first trial victory in a multidistrict litigation that claims the antibiotic Levaquin causes serious tendon injuries, saying the pharmaceutical giant adequately warned patients about the drug's risks.

The jury sided against Calvin Christensen, a Minnesota man who said he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture just days after taking Levaquin.
