Airline Surcharge Class Gets More Time To Mediate

Law360, New York (June 13, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge has given the plaintiffs in ongoing multidistrict antitrust litigation over alleged price-fixing for fuel surcharges more time to pursue mediation options before filing their amended complaint.

The plaintiffs had entered into mediation talks with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways in late March in hopes of resolving the class action dispute before engaging in a possibly lengthly and expensive trial.
