Law360, New York (January 03, 2012, 4:54 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge on Tuesday declined to certify two separate classes of cement purchasers who allege they were bilked out of millions of dollars in a price-fixing scheme between Cemex Inc. and three other cement companies.
U.S. District Judge Cecilia Altonaga denied the move for certification by a proposed class of indirect purchasers, finding that the named plaintiffs failed to satisfy the typicality and adequacy requirements for certification.
