Law360, New York (March 09, 2012, 7:25 PM ET) -- More than six years after the case was consolidated in Brooklyn, a New York federal judge set an October trial date Friday for multidistrict litigation accusing a group of Chinese manufacturers of fixing vitamin C prices.
U.S. District Judge Brian M. Cogan adopted the schedule proposed by the parties, including scheduling the trial in seven months despite objections from the defendants.
"Plaintiffs alone propose ... a trial in October 2012, which defendants oppose," the plaintiffs wrote in a Feb. 28 letter submitting the parties' scheduling suggestions....
