A 2nd Look At Class Action Requirements

Law360, New York (July 23, 2012, 1:08 PM ET) -- While the nation waited for the decision by the United States Supreme Court in the health care case, as well as cases on state jurisdiction regarding immigration policy and campaign finance limitations, the court was preparing for its next term, starting the first Monday in October 2012. During the spring, the court granted two petitions for writs of certiorari to review the granting of class certification under Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
