Law360, New York (July 12, 2012, 8:07 PM ET) -- Three former Wet Seal Inc. employees hit the company with a putative class action in California federal court Thursday, accusing the women's clothing retailer of targeting African-American store managers for termination and paying and promoting them less than their white counterparts.
The former employees' complaint alleges the company had a policy of discriminating against African-American store management employees at its Wet Seal and Arden B. stores from at least 2008 to the present, in violation of Section 1981 of the U.S. Code.
