P&G Escapes Claims Of Zinc Poisoning From Denture Cream

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 5:53 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge on Monday threw out one of the suits in toxic tort multidistrict litigation against Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Co., saying the plaintiffs couldn't prove that zinc found in a P&G denture cream product had caused health damage.

U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga said the proposed witnesses and experts remaining after his June 2011 order, which ruled out a significant chunk of testimony, couldn't demonstrate reliably that P&G's Fixodent dental cream product can cause zinc poisoning and neurological problems.
