Wyeth Hit With Securities Suit Over Menopause Drug

Law360, New York (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Wyeth has been slammed by a proposed shareholder class action alleging that the pharmaceuticals giant made false and misleading statements about its depression and menopause drug Pristiq.

The law firm Coughlin, Stoia, Geller, Rudman & Robbins LLP announced on Wednesday that it had lodged the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, accusing Wyeth of hiding negative data about Pristiq's effects when it filed a New Drug Application in June 2006.

A spokesman for Wyeth declined to comment.
