Vytorin Class Actions Pile Up Against Merck, Schering

Law360, New York (February 11, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Proposed class action suits are piling up against Merck & Co. and Schering-Plough Corp., claiming the drugmakers broke state consumer protection laws through the sale and marketing of cholesterol-lowering drugs Vytorin and Zetia.

The most recent complaint to launch consumer fraud claims against Merck and Schering-Plough was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, a popular venue for many Vytorin suits.
