Starbucks Settles With Managers In FLSA Action

Law360, New York (March 06, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Starbucks Corp. has settled a lawsuit by assistant store managers in several states who accused the corporation of denying them overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge Keith Ellison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas ended the case Tuesday after approving the settlement, drafted only days before the scheduled court date in February, between Starbucks and 356 of its assistant managers.

The terms and conditions of the settlement are confidential.
