DuPont Wins Bid To Reverse Monsanto License Ruling

Law360, New York (August 03, 2010, 3:15 PM ET) -- DuPont Co. has won its bid to reverse a ruling that found it had breached a licensing contract with rival Monsanto Co. in a bitter spat over a patent for herbicide-resistant genetically modified soybeans and corn.

In a sealed order that left both sides claiming the ruling as a victory, Judge Richard E. Webber on Friday partially reversed his Jan. 15 finding in favor of Monsanto in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
