Gov't Tries To Nix Suit Over Mineral Rights Leases

Law360, New York (October 05, 2010, 12:35 PM ET) -- The U.S. is seeking to toss a case brought by Petro-Hunt LLC that accuses the government of going back on a deal to protect the mineral rights of landowners who sold surface tracts to the National Forest Service and instead leasing the valuable properties to rival oil and gas exploration companies.
