News Corp. Unit Settles Antitrust Suit For $125M

Law360, New York (February 09, 2011, 8:00 PM ET) -- A News Corp. subsidiary has agreed to pay $125 million to settle a suit brought by Insignia Systems Inc. alleging the in-store marketer enticed retailers to sign exclusive long-term contracts that shut out competitors.

Under the terms of the settlement, announced by the companies Wednesday, Insignia will also enter into a 10-year exclusive agreement with News America Marketing In-Store Inc. to sell signs with prices on them for in-store use. Insignia will pay News America $4 million for the business agreement, according to the companies' statements....
